Breaking of the Bread

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

Matthew 26:26

This passage of scripture talks about breaking the bread, which he did as a statement of His body. Even though on the cross scripture says not one of Jesus’s bones were broken, He broke the bread for remembrance with the disciples. Right after Jesus said, “This cup I give you, Is my blood, drink for this is my blood.” The night of the last supper, Jesus was making a statement that introduced that our sins are paid for, and all of our sins are washed away. Yes, we still have to die out daily like Paul said, repent and be baptized everyone of you in Jesus' name. Keeps those in the forefront in your walk. When Jesus broke the bread it put into motion, a landmark for us as the body of Christ to remind us we’re still flesh and have free will, but there must come a time in our life when we must break or be broken to follow the will Jesus has for us. When we stray away from Jesus, sometimes he has to break us to get our attention or he may back away for a while. Jesus will never leave you, but if you push him out of your life, he will step back and let you do it on your own. sometimes he steps back so we can see without him leading our path and us giving him everything, we’re nothing. That’s why when you go through hard times It’s not always the devil, some of it is put on by ourself. Scripture says the flesh is weak, but the spirit in willing. Everything that happens In our life can be for our good, yes we may not think so, understand why it is happening, or the problem seems greater than the outcome, but if you trust in Jesus, he will guide your steps as we journey in life. Nothing should stop us from giving him all that we have in our worship, prayer, and our life. Breaking of the Bread wasn’t only for the disciples At the last supper, It was for all of us, all of his creation. Remember, we will go through life, so we must be ready and trust in his path for our life. It’s not a bad thing to be broken spiritually, take it as a blessing. It’s always placed there to grow you in the kingdom. We have the choice if we let it define us of differ us.
