Scriptures: John 3, John 7, John 19

We as humans like for things to take warp speed, and as soon as the seed is planted we expect for the tree to break through the ground. Taking flight rising to heights unimaginable, all within the five minutes it took for us to plant the seed. God can do more within a worship service, in someone’s life, than we could ever preach within the entirety of our ministries. In Act chapter two verse forty-one:

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. So while some things may take place within that warp speed, other things such as Nicodemus going from being presented with the truth to a being marked as a follower of Christ.

If we follow the timeline of the book of John starting in chapter three. In John three Nicodemus is presented with truth. In John chapter seven we see Nicodemus taking up for Jesus. In John seven verses fifty and fifty-one:

Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,)

Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?

Jumping down to John chapter nineteen verse thirty-nine we see Nicodemus helping prepare the body of Jesus for burial. This was a culmination of a three year journey for Nicodemus. Reaching someone may not happen overnight. Be patient because God is at work in their life.

Challenge: Do not stop reaching, do not stop sowing seed in your communities. God is at work some works will be quick, and others will take time. Never stop investing, and sowing in the people around you!
