Upper Room Experience

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

Acts 2:1-3

We need an upper room experience in our church, lives, family, work and in this world. The one hundred twenty that were gathered together in the upper room, I can imagine, they didn’t see eye to eye on some things or even like one another. At that moment it didn’t matter, what matters is they all put their differences aside, coming together and Jesus poured out his spirit.

Walking through life alone is hard, but when you have Jesus, it makes everything better. We as the body of the Christ, and we should strive with our whole hearts to be better every single day. We should strive for better prayer lives, fasting, and to make our local assembly grow like never before. We were all created to have needs like hunger and thirst, but he created us with a God-sized hole that only he can fill!

What do you think would happen in our lives if our spiritual hunger was the same way as the physical? Think about it, you get hungry you eat. After a while of no food or water, you felt weak. Without a prayer life, you will be weak in your walk with God. What if we had a passion for reading the Bible the same way? What if we worshipped him with everything within us?

The spirit gave the disciples a boldness to go into the highways and byways preaching the gospel, not scared of what faced them. He said go, Lord my flesh is weak, but my spirit is willing, I’ll go. He said trust, My faith is little, but if you have the faith as of a grain of a mustard seed you can move mountains, I’ll trust you lord.

Living for Jesus shouldn’t be something our parents, grandparents, or someone telling you how to live your life. Serving Jesus isn’t about a reward; it isn’t about putting on a show for someone or to give you a title. It’s about his will for your life and how will he use you in his kingdom.

You should always pursue a better walk with Jesus, striving to learn every day, and worshiping whole heartedly. Try having an upper room experience daily, so you can have unprecedented boldness! We’re all striving to make it to heaven and bring as many people with this as we can!
